The Translation Process
Our translation process typically includes four steps for quality assurance:
Additional steps that may be required include:
The translation process begins with project-specific team selection. A birth certificate that is due on the next day only requires a project manager and a professional translator. Speed and flexibility are required here. A multilingual user manual that will be published for thousands of readers requires many more steps and therefore a much larger team of translators, editors, proofreaders, graphic designers, and project management. Projects of this nature require clear communication with the client and the linguistic team. We believe that open and frequent communication form the basis of a successful translation project. Our translators have been selected on the basis of their educational background and experience, but their willingness to communicate with the Peritus project managers and other translators/editors is equally important Translation projects are complex processes that contain multiple steps from start to finish.
